The Punk Princess and The Peacock

Sorry no princess, no peacocks! Ever wondered about the word peacock?…Okaaaaay….

Usually I like to combine different designers for one outfit, but I liked this dress so much, that I even took the matching shoes. Both are from TOSL (Tree of SL äh… Tree & Ocean SL). The dress is available in four colours (ther others would be Royal Rose (orangy), Sugarplum (plumy) and Moonstone (silvery)). The belt-part of the three prim-attachments comes in three sizes and the skirt in a scripted version (for proper sitting) as well. With the sub-layers (No onions, please!) this dress looks absolutely gorgeous…way better than on pictures. The only downside (I don’t care about): You cannot wear necklaces like you’d normally do. You’d have to take the belt-part off (which someone did on one blog some weeks ago…bookmark? What’s that?) or look for alternative attachment points and bend your necklace around your neck (chest, spine and pelvis are taken).

The tights were a mispurchase (colour didn’t match as I was dreaming about it) some time ago. They’re from *Sheer*, which is my favourite tights-store in SL…not that there are many of them…

Skin and hair are both from BP*. The skin is offering a rather nude, fresh look (I’m wearing chaotic lashes with it here), but has some lashes and eyshadow painted on already.

Oh, the pose I used for the pic below *points* is called Zombie Love and is from LAP (Long Awkward Pose). I believe it was a Halloween-freebie. All of them looked fab with this dress…well, to my taste it did. *hehe*

I’m a loser!

The amazingly creative title results from my attempt to win a contest. Of course I lost, I always lose. At least it brought me to my best (well, my flickr stats say so) picture. Since this was a contest about Primitive Design most of the clothes are from PD.
The legwarmers, bracelet and the bum-bag have cute/weird (Don’t do drugs, kids! No, mom…you neither!) primy details, flexi thingies and amazingly your avatar doesn’t fall over with all those attached prims. They fit all very easily, the belt even comes with a resize-script (which is slow for my taste). Yep, belt and bag can be worn seperatly…poor things.
The so called action bat is as well from Primitive Design. It’s rather pricey (and that’s from me!), but comes with RP-ready blahblah, which I don’t get (obviously) and scripts and hud and *tadah* blah. Unpacking of that beast was fun too, since the box is really a half open box with the bat inside, so unless you’re living on an empty parcel or have at least 3000 prims left (yes, I like to exaggerate…a lot!) you might consider other opening-options

The hair (if you can still call it hair) is from AVZ, where you can find all sorts of technical cyber-hair in amazing colours. I chose this greyish model, because it comes with this nice pattern on the texture…the other colours don’t have that…I believe. The horns actually glow (if you have renderglow on true) and look more like the actual hairy parts. Thanks to a bug I can’t show you the glow, but it’s visible on the older picture (clickclickclick).

I couldn’t properly finish my shopping attack over at Tableau’s Nylon Outfitters so I had to return in the early morning *blahs*. My camera upstairs showed me this fab add. I know, it might not throw you from your stool/chair/bed/sofa/loo (I hope not!) but look at that lovely add! I’ll buy it…and I liked it before I read the text….but then, I’m just a wannabe-fashionista so FUCK IT!

Pooping Rainbow Bubbles

First a big Thank You to Mira who bravely fed my bunnies!

Secondly…I’M BÄCK! Well, I’m back for a week, but I was very busy getting back into old habits like spending ridiculous amounts of time in front of that evil machine and clearing up unread blogs, Plurk, Flickr, in-world messages.

My beloved two readers know I like sitting on my blogy fence (aha?) but the last few days even I felt an urge to say something….I’ll make it quick/short/not too blahy.

I like to scan WordPress for Second Life related blog posts through this feed. This gives me the occasional random post about SL by a non-SLer or a newbie which can be interesting, but lately (I don’t have to tell you, I hope) there were a lot of random blahs by non-SLers thanks to the beloved (ex-)couple. As I like to keep it short…erm…I’ll keep it short.

1. Just because there’s one guy having a prostitute in a virtual world, this doesn’t mean that we all do it! Not anyone is into slex.
2. Why is it so hard to understand how sex’s is happening in SL? Everybody of a certain age will have some understanding about phone-sex and won’t question how genitals could be squeezed through the wire. SL makes it possible to do that on different levels (voice, text and most of all visual).
3. Get a life!, Get a hobby! and Reality check! is causing bad skin reactions on me. I have a life and so does everybody else enjoying SL. SL is a hobby for me, for others it’s a platform to escape their FL/RL, which I believe is a healthy thing as long as you don’t forget it’s your second life and not your first. Other people collect stamps or empty beer cans. I feel that those people (often mentioned on those look at those weirdos-posts) have a general allergy against computer-related hobbies.
4. Whenever you read something about Second Life (Thanks media for picking up the bad stuff, who wants to read about creative, intelligent people?) how can you assume every resident/customer (harhar) is the same? I’m not “those people” or a “weirdo” just because that lovely couple shares a hobby with me.
5. Has anyone of those weirdos understood the story in full? It seems to me “Second Life” “leggings” and “sex” causes the same instant reaction for many bloggers out there. Second Life has absolutely nothing to do with their inability to have a healthy relationship!
6. I’m done…I think…I hope.

Fashion Blah from here!!!

This outfit is one of my favourites, something that I’d like to pick if I have to change quickly to something normal(ish). Both, top and pants are from beloved Twosome, which, as usual, come in 3000 layer-options so you could wear anything you like under the knitted vest…or over it. The top is available in different colours, the pants are only coming in blue, but in two versions (the other being more shiny). If you’re an angel like me *coughs* better wear some knickers under those pants, otherwise (depending on your skin) hair might be visible.

Since there wasn’t enough colour in it for me, I combined it with all time favourites: Hair from my very first hair-fat-pack (aww!) from Naughty, my usual flats from Periquita and the not for sale skin made by Tokoro on base of a Another Skin…er…skin.
